Hola! Welcome. Lit-Rally publishes personal essays, op eds, fiction of all kinds, poetry, and reviews of the amazing creative acts –in print, live or any other type of media—that is out there.
If you have created something fabulous, please submit your work, regardless of the genre.
Our goal is to publish short stories, personal essays, op eds, fiction of all kinds, poetry, and reviews of the amazing creative acts –in print, live or any other type of media—that is out there. The news cycle runs too fast for us to have up-to-the-minute news on here, but we are happy to feature longform journalism. We’d be thrilled to host a comic strip or something visual on the site.
Monolithic, homogenous writing is boring. Lit Rally encourages diverse voices, and is especially interested in hearing from emerging writers, minority voices, and members of the LGBT community. If you are not a member of one of these communities, don’t be discouraged, we still have a place for you at the table and encourage you to contribute.
If your submission is well-written, thought-provoking, and provokes emotion (laughter, a few tears, joy, and maybe anger), you have a leg up on being accepted. If your submission speaks to a current and eternal issue, you’ve successfully avoided the slush pile.
Here are few guidelines.
Most of the time, people in the know will tell you to look through a site, see the tone, subject, and writing style, and pitch according to what you see. Obviously, you can't do that here, can you? So, what we suggest is to send in, not what traumatized you that you can't get over, but what energizes you, what moves you beyond the beyond, what you do or write or create instead of telling the world to fuck off.
